Central Archives of Modern Records (AAN) was created in 1919 and at present is governed by the Head Office of the State Archives (NDAP) in Warsaw.

PUMST has been co-operating for over ten years. Since then, qualified archivists from AAN, have been coming to PUMST to undertake joint projects such as archiving and digitizing the holdings. Thanks to their assistance, digitizing the Special Section VI of the General Staff has been completed. Presently, similar work together with IPN archivists is continuing on the collection of the so-called SKrzynie (SK) i.e. (Boxes used for depositing documents during the war years). PUMST and AAN are also co-operating in publications and exhibitions implementing PUMST’s documents.
